Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 8, 2026 | Last Updated: September 9, 2026
Reboot Lab LLC ("Reboot Lab," "we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of our customers and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we may collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you visit our website, request a quote, submit a device for service, purchase a product, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with Reboot Lab.
1. Information We May Collect
Depending on how you interact with Reboot Lab, we may collect information such as:
- name;
- email address;
- telephone number;
- billing and shipping information;
- service address when mobile or on-site service is requested;
- communications with Reboot Lab;
- quote and repair requests;
- transaction and payment-related information;
- repair history;
- device manufacturer, model, serial number, IMEI, and other device identifiers;
- device condition and diagnostic information;
- photographs or video relating to device condition or repair;
- information necessary to verify ownership or lawful possession of certain devices;
- information provided through customer forms or our customer portal; and
- technical information generated when you use our website.
We attempt to collect only information reasonably necessary for the applicable business or service purpose.
2. Device Information
When a device is submitted for repair, diagnostics, data services, or another service, Reboot Lab may collect information concerning the device, including its make, model, serial number, IMEI, reported problem, physical condition, repair history, diagnostic results, and installed hardware.
Additional information may be collected where reasonably necessary for inventory, fraud prevention, secondhand-device compliance, warranty administration, repair documentation, or other legitimate business purposes.
3. Access to Customer Devices
Certain repairs, diagnostics, testing procedures, software services, or data services may require access to an unlocked device or operating system.
When device access is necessary, Reboot Lab personnel should access only those portions of the device reasonably necessary to perform, test, verify, or document the requested service.
Customers should remove or secure particularly sensitive information whenever practical before submitting a device.
Reboot Lab does not request permission to access personal information merely because a device has been submitted for repair.
4. Device Passcodes and Credentials
A customer may be asked to provide a device passcode or other access method when reasonably necessary to diagnose, repair, test, or verify the operation of a device.
Credentials supplied for service are intended to be used only for legitimate service-related purposes.
Customers may choose not to provide a passcode; however, doing so may prevent Reboot Lab from performing certain diagnostics, testing, or verification procedures.
Customers should not provide passwords for unrelated accounts unless specifically necessary for a requested service.
5. Device Handling and Video Monitoring
For security, quality-control, loss-prevention, documentation, and customer privacy purposes, Reboot Lab may use video monitoring in areas where customer devices are received, handled, stored, inspected, or repaired.
Video monitoring may document technician handling of customer devices, including work performed while a device is unlocked.
Such recordings are intended to protect customers, technicians, devices, and Reboot Lab and are not intended to capture or examine customer data displayed on a device beyond what may incidentally appear during legitimate repair activity.
Access to recordings may be restricted to authorized individuals and may be retained for a reasonable period based on security, operational, insurance, dispute-resolution, or legal requirements.
6. Data Backup and Recovery Services
If a customer specifically requests a backup, transfer, recovery, or similar data service, Reboot Lab may temporarily copy customer data to equipment or storage controlled by Reboot Lab for the purpose of completing that service.
Temporary copies created solely for completion of the requested service will be deleted after the service is completed and the device or data is returned, unless the customer purchases or expressly requests an available extended-retention service.
Where Reboot Lab offers an optional paid retention service, the applicable retention period and price will be disclosed to the customer.
At the end of the applicable retention period, Reboot Lab will delete the retained copy in accordance with its normal deletion procedures.
Deletion of Reboot Lab's copy does not affect copies retained by the customer, cloud providers, device manufacturers, or other third parties.
No data recovery, backup, or transfer method can guarantee that all information will be successfully recovered or preserved.
7. Website Information
When you visit our website, certain technical information may be collected automatically by our website platform or service providers, such as:

- referring pages;
- pages viewed;
- approximate geographic information derived from network information;
- date and time of access; and
- website interaction information.
This information may be used to operate, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the website.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website and service providers may use cookies or similar technologies necessary for website functionality, security, customer sessions, analytics, preferences, or other legitimate website purposes.
Where required by applicable law, additional notice or choices concerning non-essential cookies may be provided.
Browser settings may also allow you to restrict or delete cookies, although doing so may affect website functionality.

10. Repair Management and Customer Portal
Reboot Lab may use third-party repair-management, customer-communication, ticketing, invoicing, or customer-portal systems to operate its repair business.
Information necessary to provide these services may be stored or processed through those systems.
For the repair-tracking page, Reboot Lab may send the ticket number and last name entered by a customer to MyRepairApp to locate a matching ticket and verify the customer's identity. When verification succeeds, the page may receive and display limited repair information such as ticket status, device description, and service description. Reboot Lab does not intentionally display unrelated customer or ticket information through this lookup.
Third-party providers process information according to their own contractual obligations, security practices, and privacy policies.
11. Payment Information
Payment transactions may be processed through third-party payment processors.
Reboot Lab may receive transaction information such as payment status, amount, payment method category, transaction identifier, or limited payment details while the payment processor handles payment-card information according to its own systems and requirements.
Reboot Lab does not intend to independently store complete payment-card credentials unless specifically necessary and appropriately secured.
The Reboot Lab payment portal may use Square and PayPal to process repair-ticket payments. To verify a payment, Reboot Lab may send the ticket number, customer email address, billing ZIP code, and payment amount or ticket details reasonably necessary to the applicable service. Payment-card or account credentials are entered into the processor's payment interface or otherwise handled by the processor, subject to its privacy policy, security practices, and terms.
The payment portal may retain limited transaction records, such as the ticket reference, payment provider, payment method category, amount, transaction identifier, payment status, and date, for reconciliation, fraud prevention, customer support, accounting, and legal or tax recordkeeping. Reboot Lab may also use a protected internal payment ledger to prevent a completed portal payment from being charged again.
11A. AKKO Memberships and Protection Plans
When a customer chooses an AKKO membership or protection plan through Reboot Lab's partner relationship, Reboot Lab may share information reasonably necessary to facilitate enrollment or identify the selected plan, such as the customer's name, contact information, device information, selected plan, or transaction details.
AKKO and any applicable coverage provider independently process information under their own privacy policies, membership agreements, protection-plan terms, and legal obligations. Reboot Lab does not control AKKO's collection or use of information after it is provided to AKKO, and customers should review the applicable AKKO privacy policy and plan documents.
12. Shipping Providers
For mail-in repairs, purchases, returns, or other shipments, we may provide information such as your name, shipping address, email address, telephone number, package information, or other information reasonably necessary to a shipping carrier or shipping-service provider.

- customer communications;
- payment processing;
- accounting;
- shipping;
- email;
- cloud or data storage;
- security;
- analytics; and
- other business-support services.
These disclosures should be limited to information reasonably necessary for the provider to perform its function. The information shared with these providers explicitly excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent.
14. Legal and Safety Disclosures
Reboot Lab may preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- comply with applicable law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other lawful process;
- cooperate with appropriate legal or regulatory requirements;
- investigate suspected fraud, theft, or unlawful activity;
- protect the rights, property, security, or safety of Reboot Lab, its customers, or others;
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; or

15. Sale or Transfer of Business
If Reboot Lab is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, information held by the business may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.
16. Information Retention
We retain information for periods reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing services, maintaining repair and accounting records, administering warranties, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, satisfying insurance requirements, and complying with legal obligations.
Different categories of information may have different retention periods.
Temporary customer data created specifically for a backup or data service is subject to the separate retention practices described above.
17. Information Security
Reboot Lab uses reasonable administrative, physical, and technical measures intended to protect information and customer devices against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
No electronic storage, communications, or security system can guarantee absolute security.
18. Children
Reboot Lab's website and services are intended for general electronics-repair customers and are not directed specifically to children under 13.
We do not knowingly solicit personal information online from children under 13.
If we become aware that information from a child under 13 has been collected in circumstances requiring parental consent, we may take reasonable steps to delete it.
19. Third-Party Websites and Services

Reboot Lab does not control the privacy practices of independent third parties. Customers should review the privacy policies of those providers when appropriate.
20. Your Privacy Requests

23. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, technologies, providers, business operations, or legal obligations change.
The current version will be posted on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date.
24. Contact Us
Questions, concerns, or privacy requests may be submitted through the contact information provided on the Reboot Lab website.
25. Text Messaging and SMS Privacy
Reboot Lab LLC operates text messaging programs via our primary business lines and after-hours communication systems to provide repair updates, quote details, and appointment confirmations.
No mobile information, phone numbers, or text messaging originator opt-in data will be shared, sold, or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties or service providers for their independent marketing use.
Text messaging opt-in is strictly used for operational communications regarding your specific repair or inquiry. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying "STOP" to any message you receive from us.
